Denver Road Trip - Spring Break 2018
Initially I thought I wouldn't be doing anything for spring break (pathetic, I know) but then I asked my friend if he wanted to take a road trip to Denver Colorado. Surprisingly he agreed, and so we left on the first Sunday of spring break. The ride there was absolutely amazing, except for Nebraska which is as flat a pancake. We got to Denver at roughly 10 AM on Monday. That was when our adventure started. We went downtown for most of Monday, which was absolutely amazing. Everything is so new there, and plus Denver is also the capital of Colorado, so obviously we got to see capitol hill. Tuesday we hit up most of the museums and even the botanic gardens. That day was just great. There were so many things to do and so little time. On Wednesday we finally went up to the Rockies. We went to Evergreen Colorado for lunch, which was delicious. After that, we got stuck in snow at nearly 10,000 feet on a dirt road with no cell service. That was such a fuuuun time. :) On our last day, Thursday, we went back up to the mountains and visited red rock amphitheater, which was just stunning. And to end off the trip we went to Boulder, Colorado. On Friday we got up at 5 am to leave. The sunrise was breathtaking. I actually tried not to cry when I saw the mountains getting smaller and smaller. It just felt right being there. All in all the trip was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Colorado is my home and I shall return. (And yes I took that picture :))
